Isn't she lovely?  Six years ago today, my baby girl was born.  It wasn't easy getting her her.  Pregnancy, for me, wasn't exactly a glowing experience, but it was all worth it.

In just a minute, I am going to walk into her bedroom to wake her up for school today.  She will, without fail, moan and complain about having to get up.  Just like her daddy!  Then, she'll smile, and the excitement about the day will begin in earnest.

I, being the dutiful mother, have made two sets of cupcakes:  one for her class, and the other for her softball team.  I am taking her to school today to drop off some of the cupcakes (red velvet, at her request), and also so we can swing by McDonald's for breakfast this morning.  McDonald's is giving away free breakfast to kids in Florida who are taking the FCAT today.  So, Ryan will get free breakfast, at least.

This Saturday, she is having a Very Merry Unbirthday Tea Party!  I am making a topsy-turvy cake, and all of the girls from Lexi's class have been invited to help her celebrate.  Chad will be here as well, and he'll get to help me engineer the cake a bit too.  I plan to post pictures of my attempt and her party this weekend, so stay tuned!

She is ADORABLE! We're in so much trouble! I can't believe she is already six. It has gone by so fast.
