Well, I made my first topsy turvy cake.  What do you think?  I think it turned out pretty well.  




I am pretty happy with how it turned out, even if it isn't as pretty as the professional cake I was using for inspiration.  I think I like making cakes, but I always get so stressed out at the end of the process.  Crunch time hits, and I realize I don't have enough time to finish before the guest are going to arrive!  Luckily, I did finish in time.

Here is a picture of Alexia with her new beach bag.  She had a lot of fun at her party.  Only two girls showed up, but they had a great time at the tea party.  Kim, Brad, and Jake were also able to come, so that was great.  Jake even wore his tea party hat, and loved drinking the tea.  Apparently he also likes coffee.  When I was getting out the tea, it reminded him of his grandma Sherri.  Mixed berry green tea is really good!


Okay, so this is Cherry Crush, but they also had real tea.  They played a few games, and Alexia claimed it to be a huge success.

In other news, Chad and I had dinner with a new colleague and his wife, and we are getting closer to having the job figured out.  Unfortunately, we have to have a lawyer look things over and will end up having to pay a lot of money that we don't have to have the contract negotiated.  I don't have any idea where we are going to get the money.  The money tree that was planted in the backyard when Chad became a doctor died a long time ago.
